It was a yellow/green colour beforehand and the trim had not been painted.
Now the trim is white and makes the windows look less imposing, but also more dramatic. It brings the eye towards the window and less towards the brown trim!
The colour of the after photo isn't so great because we finished quite late. The colour is a grey/green/blue colour that changes during the day. It is lovely, but as you can understand it is difficult to capture!
I will take better photos next week, hopefully with some furniture. Next week we will focus on the bedrooms and see where we go from there.
It's amazing what a difference paint can make. They almost look like entirely different rooms. It looks so much fresher now and bigger.

It is wonderful now Kylie. It is the room I was most looking forward to painting. The hammocks are probably the best thing I have ever bought :P we got them in Vancouver and they hang from one point but its possible (and very comfy) to lie down in them :) I see them as the best furniture, it is easy to clean underneath!

ReplyDeleteAre you thinking of moving to Montville, after the owner returns and have to leave? It sounds like you have some family up there already. I hope the recent bad weather didn't wreak too much havoc in your area.

DeleteYes Kat is fine :) you may have skipped a post or two but we have already bought the house and moved in about a month ago.
The weather was ok, quite windy which knocked a couple trees over and power out for 24hrs. Pretty good compared to other places. I hope you went ok as well.
